ray krone was an air force veteran
he ‘mighta delivered your mail, if you’re an arizonian
ray krone was wrongfully accused
for the death of a 36 year old woman
for that error, ray krone spent 10 and a half years in prison
kim ancona was brutally savaged
left with teeth marks, her skin was ravaged
seems the jury agreed that ray krone should never go free,
since experts testified that the bite marks on kim matched his teeth
snaggletooth killer
ray krone told ‘em he was innocent
and damn us all, if the man didn’t speak the truth
ray krone had no criminal record
so don’t think this story couldn’t happen to you
give that ray krone a life sentence, put him behind bars forever
make sure he never sees the light of day not now, not ever
wait… even better, let’s execute that snaggletooth killer
hey, just for old time’s sake, let’s put him in the gas chamber
snaggletooth killer
kim ancona didn’t deserve to die
ray krone didn’t deserve to be in prison
seems they got the wrong guy
how do you apologize for wasting someone’s life
how can we have faith, in truth and justice in this current system
do you really believe ray and kim are the system’s only victims
“i don’t think so.”
snaggletooth killer… ray krone
snaggletooth killer… ray krone
snaggletooth killer… ray krone
snaggletooth killer… not anymore
ray krone… ray krone…
ray krone… ray krone…
i’m glad you made it home

stare at me with those sinister eyes
such a lovely girl, imagine my surprise
i have dreams of you by my side
it’s just that i can’t remember if i survive
i’m leaving here baby…
don’t think i’m coming home
yes, i’m ridin’ with the devil…
and he wants me to ride alone
gods of war are selfish, that’s for sure
watch as mud turns to blood before it hits the shore
i’m leaving here baby…
don’t think i’m coming home
yes, i’m ridin’ with the devil…
and he wants me to ride alone
millions of people fighting in the war
i’m sick of death my dear… don’t want to fight no more
i’m leaving here baby…
don’t think i’m coming home
yes, i’m ridin’ with the devil…
and he wants me to ride alone
ridin’ with the devil, ridin’ with the man
ridin’ with the devil, and i’m doing the best i can
i’m leaving here baby…
don’t think i’ll make it home
yes, i’m ridin’ with the devil…
and he wants me to ride alone

watched you drive off, with the distance,
brought scars i can no longer ignore
i can’t quite see the path that i am on,
but i feel i’ve walked it once before
lately, i’ve been drifting off
lately, i have missed the stars
lately, thought a thousand words
lately, can’t admire the world
lately, i am feeling
down, down, down
wishing the weeping lepers’ hands away
and we’re wasting our lives today
wanting something i can never have
and it feels as though i’ve broke my back
lately, i’ve been drifting off
lately, i have missed the stars
lately, thought a thousand words
lately, can’t admire the world
lately, i am feeling
down, down, down
From the album Buy One, Get One Free by Jeremy Gratton
i’ve seen the mind of people in a sea of giant egos
i’ve seen pride turn wise men into weak fools
i’ve seen lovely women turn ugly from material things
i’ve seen the death of truth, and the truth of monetary gain
i’ve seen good people tortured, beaten, afraid, and shamed
i’ve seen floods arise from great gobs of rain
i’ve seen hurricanes, lightning, snow and sleet
i’ve seen hunger, famine, and profitable charities
i’ve seen greed turn people into monstrous beings
i’ve seen brutality, violence, and terrible things
i’ve seen madness stored in faith and rage
i’ve seen loneliness, and melancholic pain
i’ve seen people frightened by change
i’ve seen honor, integrity, and felt amazed
i’ve seen children malnourished with nothing to eat
i’ve seen others waste lots of food intentionally
i’ve seen people litter, and disrespect our earth
i’ve seen the absolute miracle of birth
i’ve seen smiles, nightmares, joy, and dreams
i’ve seen horrible, devastating atrocities
i’ve seen murder, rape, hate, and pillaging
i’ve seen disillusion, fear, and grieving
i’ve seen racism, fascism, and socialism
i’ve seen mormonism, cannibalism, and catholicism
i’ve seen suicide, homicide, and genocide
i’ve seen rednecks, fat cats, poor dogs, and sick monkeys
i’ve seen cancer, a-i-d-s, and obesity
i’ve seen fame, cures, and plastic surgery
i’ve seen addiction, affliction, and religion
i’ve seen christians, muslims, and confusion
but i’ve never seen anything so entertaining as you and me
and i’m open, because i like to see everything

loneliness is flaunting her dress, she is cold and bitter
says she misses how we intertwined, and how we fit together
these thoughts just help remind her of her flesh and mortal sins
she writes them off as a sort of weakness, and hates me for all of them
you can tell them i’m never coming home
you can tell them i’d rather be alone…
that their eyes don’t see what’s inside of me
she says the dreams aren’t enough to sustain her mind
she can feel my inconvenient energy near her sometimes
if sadness and emptiness is what you’ve made of it,
then perhaps it is time… for us to close this connection
i’ll see you in the next life…
you can tell them i’m never coming home
you can tell them i’d rather be alone…
that their eyes don’t see what’s inside of me
you can tell them i’m never coming home
you can tell them i’d rather be alone…
that their eyes don’t see what’s inside of me
