when the sun has reached its end
and we’re in the dark again
and the waves come crashin’ in

when the clouds block the sky
and you’re not so sure you’ll survive
i will meet you by the sea

when you’ve lost your faith and your hope
and your fear has got you by your throat
i will be waiting for you by the sea

i have little left, just fragile bones,
a beaten six-string body and the unknown,
but i will still meet you by the sea

in my words i hope, you’ve found some truth
either way, i’m glad they reached you
and i hope you’ll meet me by the sea
